Notifications carry only ids and a short text, never code or secrets.

On the phone

The app shows them as Android notifications and plays the BambooKit sound for questions, approvals, completions and errors. There are two channels: Requests (approvals and questions, high priority) and Session updates (finished or failed). Change the sound or turn a channel off in Profile → Notifications → Sound and notification settings. Tap a notification to open the session or the approval. They are also listed on Home → Recent activity. Allow notifications when the app asks (Android 13+), or later in Android Settings → Apps → BambooKit.

Clear on Home → Recent activity removes recent activity and notifications for your account on all your devices (phone and website). Sessions and approvals are not affected.

Notifications arrive over the app's live connection. Turn on Profile → Notifications → Notify me in the background to keep that connection open while the app is closed; Android then shows a quiet Background connection notification. There is no push service yet: if Android stops the app anyway, you see the notifications the next time you open it. Allowing BambooKit to run without battery restrictions (Open battery settings) helps.

On the website

While the website is open, notifications appear in the corner of the page. Turn on browser notifications on the Account page to also get them from your browser.

On the PC

Desktop has its own notifications and sounds in Settings → General (Agent, Permissions, Errors), and tells you when a phone finishes pairing.
