Introduction
BambooKit is an AI coding app for Windows, with your phone as the remote.
BambooKit has three parts that share one account:
- BambooKit Desktop runs on your Windows PC. You work with the coding agent there: chat, files, diffs, terminal, Git, MCP servers and models. Your sessions and project files stay on the PC.
- BambooKit for Android is the remote. Follow sessions live (todos, timeline, the live diagram, full diffs), answer the agent's approvals and questions, chat in a session after Continue on PC, rename and like sessions, add provider API keys to your PC, and see your profile statistics and achievements.
- This website shows your PCs, sessions with their history, approvals and questions when you sign in, and has your account page. It can answer approvals and questions, rename and like sessions and ask your PC to continue a session; chatting happens on the PC or the phone.
A small cloud service, BambooKit Cloud (the BambooKit API), signs you in, pairs your devices, keeps a short index of your sessions and relays live data between your PC and your other devices. It never connects to your PC; your PC connects out to it.

Versions
The newest version of each app, with its release notes, is listed under Download and install on the home page and on the Updates screen of the Android app. Requirements: Windows 10 or 11 (64-bit) for Desktop, Android 8.0 or newer for the phone app. When a feature needs a newer BambooKit Desktop than the one on your PC, the phone and this site say Update BambooKit Desktop; see Desktop compatibility.
